Why Do the Bad Guys Do What They Do?
Why do the bad guys do what they do?
Why do the bad guys do what they do?
Why do the bad guys do what they do?
Why do they do what they do?
These guys aren’t stupid. These guys are no fools.
Half of them went to Ivy-league schools.
Do they do it for power? Do they do it for greed?
‘Course they know where it’s gotta lead.
‘Scuse me for askin’, but who made you king?
This could be the end of, well, everything.
Gallons of crude oil run through their veins
But still the question remains:
Why do the bad guys do what they do?
Why do the bad guys do what they do?
And why do we let them do what they do?
Why do we let ‘em do what they do?
We are a people raised on T.V.
We look at the news and say, “That ain’t about me.”
Six o’clock soundbites: more lies and deceit,
Double-talk, cover-up, repeat.
Give us some news of some Hollywood star
Then you can laugh at what suckers we are,
Easy to fool with distractable brains
But still the question remains:
Why do the bad guys do what they do?
Why do the bad guys do what they do?
Why do the bad guys do what they do?
Why do they do what they do?
So out of touch and yet so out of reach,
They don’t care much for freedom of speech,
Struttin’ around like they’re the real deal,
Pitchin’ their agenda like some automobile:
An automobile that is way over-priced
And the salesmen remind me of the antichrist,
Turning their backs when anybody complains
And still the question remains:
Why do the bad guys do what they do?
Why do the bad guys do what they do?
And why do we let them do what they do?
Why do we let them…
