Coin is in the water. Hope my wish comes true.

Was it just last night?

You and I stood right here and held each other tight.

We threw a coin in the water and swore that we’d be true.

And here I am waiting by the Wishing Well for you.

But somehow it’s all worth it

Even if you’re late

Though it’s 9 o’clock and I swear I thought we made the date for 8.

But I’ll keep waiting

Making plans like I always make.

It seems like anyway if I didn’t stay I’d be making a big mistake.

Mumblin’, “What the hell.”

I’d sooner than not and it’s a pretty nice spot for a Wishing Well.

Ripples on the water. There’s our future shining through.

I hope that you’re alright

Because just now I heard an ambulance howl and it cut like a knife through the night.

Funny how my mind can be that way.

Just a minute ago I was angry, oh, but now I just hope you’re OK.

Well, I guess it’s up to me

I know I should go but I’ve got nowhere else I’d rather be.
