Dreamland

Some people like to read a good book

I don’t mind a really good book

But my favorite thing to do is to go to Dreamland.

Some people like a swim in a brook

I don’t mind some cool, shady nook

But my very favorite place is the place called Dreamland.

Everybody works real hard the whole day through.

So when the sun goes down it’s up to you.

It’s true.

Some people like to stay up real late

But personally I’d rather not wait

for that express train that carries me off to Dreamland’

All day long at your desk or on your feet

So a little bitty cat nap now and then can be oh so sweet

I repeat.

Some people like to save it for last

But give me a chance and I’ll get there real fast

To that ------------ place called Dreamland

Ask me how I know that there’s a God

Who else could have thought up The Land of Nod.
